Ordinary paints soon become brittle and this results in chipping, flaking and peeling. Tex-Gard CLASSIC wall coatings remain flexible and will not chip, flake or peel.

This has the additional benefit of making our coatings long-lasting, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance and repainting.

Mould and Cement Alkali Resistant

Ordinary paints quickly loose their resistance to mould algae. Furthermore, mould algae can actually feed off some paints. The fungicides used in Tex-Gard CLASSIC wallcoating produce exceptional mould algae resistance performance.

All cementatious surfaces contain alkali and this can also break down conventional paint. Our coverings have outstanding resistance to alkali.

Resists Acid Rain, Chemical Attack and Pollution

Over 650,000 tonnes of acid rain falls on Great Britian each year, which causes carbonation. This is a major cause of brick, render, concrete and stone damage but Tex-Gard CLASSIC wallcoatings resist the penatration of such pollutants as carbon dioxide and sulphur.

As water is prevented from penetrating throught the substrate, our coverings also make for excellent weather proofing but being microporous, water vapour inside external walls can freely pass through our wall coverings. This allowing the walls to breathe, preventing such traditional water related problems, such as cracking, spalling and delamination.
